Teradomari Koi Farm is run by Kiichi Hoshino in Teradomari, on the Nagaoka coast of Niigata Prefecture. ChampKoi reports that he went independent in 1979 and put up the Teradomari Koi Farm sign in 1990, and that Ginrin fish make up roughly 70 percent of what he produces. Kodama Koi Farm calls the farm a pioneer in Ginrin Kohaku, and WCB International credits it with developing the 'Teradomari ginrin', a thick-lying form of ginrin.
