Sakazume Koi Farm is a Niigata breeder run by Shinsaku Sakazume, and was founded by his father Sakutaro Sakazume. In a 2006 interview, Shinsaku said he began producing Koromo in 1991, and he now focuses on Aigoromo, Budo Goromo and Sumi Goromo. Kodama Koi Farm lists the farm's specialty as Koromo, and in Kodama's interview Shinsaku calls Kohaku his real speciality.
